A brand new political season is in its dawn. In a country undeniably discomfited with our current president, we the people of the United States are faced with a new assemblage of potential leaders ready to control the reins of the most influentual nation in history. Being a true blood sport that national politics is - only the strongest, most willing, slickest talking individuals are left standing on the day these fonts meet this URL. So, without further ado, let's do a mild assessment of the situation and candidates in an effort to immerse the mind into reality.

It is a day in early February of a presidential election year. 300 Million plus people carry their own burdeon in which life has enstowed, some heavier than others. As individuals and families carry about their lives, they look to government for their own reasons. On this normally cold month, the contents of this so called melting pot is busy deciding who is most capable of stirring us into the most comfortable vat of goo to simmer in without cracking and breaking the entire project. With so much on the plate: overseas operations using the military, rising healthcare costs, credit crisis, unchecked governmental spending, political corruption, and fears from everything from illegal immigration to climate change to the economy; an intellegent and forumulaic chef must be chosen to satisfy so many people. Ah what a simple task, huh?

Enough skirting, time for the cream in the middle. Since our country isn't open-minded enough to include any more than two parties seriously in a presidential race, and I started writing this piece late into the race, we are only down to three serious contenders. Republicans have all but formally inducted John McCain as their parties go to guy, as Democrats have decided to allow the two super-weights named Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama conduct a reality show like dramafest to captivate their followers intrigue. Only time will tell what comes of this, stay tuned and sense will be made of it all!
